The bible says, "if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new" (2 Cor. 5:17). The latter scripture is the capstone scripture of a believer in Christ. When you confess the Lordship of Christ over your life – i.e. being born again, you are in-Christ and therefore a new creation. So, your life has now taken on a new meaning. In the mind of God you are no longer the man that you used to be, you are a new man without the past.

This new man is born of the Word of God at the time when he confesses Jesus as the Lord of his life (Rom. 10:9-10). The bible says, "having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, by the Word of God which lives and abides forever" (1 Pet. 2:23). When Jesus was raised from the dead, He was born again! as God said: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You" (Acts 13:33), and likewise, when a man declares that Jesus is the Lord of his life and believes that God has raised Him from the dead, he is automatically catapulted into salvation.

When this new man looks at the Word of God (which is the glory of God) he sees himself, because what is born of the Word of God is the Word of God. – as Jesus said; "Behold, I have come---In the volume of the book it is written about Me---To do Your will O God" (Heb. 10:7), As the offspring of a dog is a dog, and that of a cat is a cat, likewise, the offspring of God is a god - Psalm 82:6 says, "I said ‘You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High’. So, as a believer, you ought to have this consciousness that you are a god and therefore more than a conqueror.

The principle of the New Testament is the Mirror Principle. The more this new man sees himself in the Word of God (i.e. as he meditates on the Word of God), he is continuously transformed into what he sees. In 2 Cor. 3:18, the bible says "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord". So, as born of the Word of God (which is the glory of God), we are continuously metamorphosed into that image through meditation on the Word of God. God’s dream is for this new man to reach the full stature of Christ through meditation and acting on the Word of God.
